The Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA) is gearing up for its annual National Book Week, a week-long celebration from August 17th to 23rd that fosters a love of reading among children across the nation. This year's theme, "Reading is Magic," is sure to captivate young minds and inspire creativity.
For the team at George the Farmer, this is one of our most favourite times of the year! Every year, we excitedly receive photos of little fans dressed up as George the Farmer and Ruby Farmer, showing their love for our unique edutainment brand which makes us feel extremely proud. And to add to the excitement, we are running a special promotion for the second year in a row, giving you the chance to win a $50 online George the Farmer voucher!
Dress Up and Win!
Dressing up as George or Ruby Farmer is one of the easiest and most fun ways for kids to participate in Book Week. There's enough pressure on parents during the working week without making things complicated. To dress up as George or Ruby, kids simply need to throw on a pair of jeans, their boots, and a blue or red shirt – it’s as easy as that! Or, choose another character out of picture storybooks such as Will the Woolclasser, Kev the gun shearer from New Zealand, apple grower Elizabeth Green or Beekeeper Jo.
To enter the competition, all you need to do is tag us on social media or send in a photo of your child (or yourself!) via email. We will be selecting a winning entry for both teachers and students.
