Well Minlaton… you’re not just having a party — you’re blowing out 150 candles in style.
Across March 27–29, the Yorke Peninsula town will come alive with aerobatic displays, parachute drops, fireworks, vintage machinery, school reunions, exhibitions, live music and a whole lot of country hospitality. It’s shaping up to be one of those “remember-when” weekends that’ll be talked about for years to come.
And we’re chuffed to bits to be part of it.
One Show Only – 12.30pm, Friday March 28
Location: Minlaton Showgrounds
George the Farmer is saddling up for one performance only at the Minlaton 150th Celebrations — and we can’t wait to see you there.
Join us for:
• A high-energy sing-a-long to our original farm hits
• Dancing (yes parents, you too)
• Giveaways
• A meet and greet with George the Farmer
We’ll be belting out crowd favourites like:
• Potatoes
• Harvest Hop
• Mango Bango
• Googy Eggs
• And our newbie… Sugarcane Train
If your kids love tractors, tunes and learning where their food and fibre comes from, this one’s for them.
A Celebration of Community
Minlaton’s 150th isn’t just your run-of-the-mill town party. It’s a tribute to the people, stories and spirit that have shaped this Yorke Peninsula community over generations.
There’ll be:
• Face painting and carnival rides for the kids
• Cemetery tours and oral histories for the history buffs
• Market stalls, food vans and vintage tractors for the wanderers
• A Town Hall Gala and official opening
• Even a commemorative Watsacowie brew launch
It’s about honouring the past, celebrating the present, and inspiring the future — which fits pretty nicely with our mission at George the Farmer.
Because when kids connect to the land, their food and their community, something pretty special happens.
