TERMS AND CONDITIONS
2026 George the Farmer x Quality Wool - Wool Discovery Kit Competition
1. General
Information on how to enter and details of the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions.
By submitting an entry, the Entrant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
If there is any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any other material published in connection with the Competition, these Terms and Conditions prevail.
2. Promoters
The Competition is promoted in partnership by:

(“Quality Wool”)
together referred to as the Promoters.
Quality Wool Pty Ltd is an active Australian private company registered under ABN 76 057 822 394. (ABN Lookup)
George the Farmer will administer the Competition entry process and prize fulfilment. Quality Wool will participate in judging eligible entries.
3. Competition period
The Competition opens at 8:00am ACST on Monday, 31 August 2026 and closes at 11:59pm ACST on Wednesday, 16 September 2026 (“Competition Period”).
Entries received outside the Competition Period will not be accepted.
4. Eligibility
Entry is open to individuals (“Entrants”) who:
a. are aged 18 years or over at the commencement of the Competition Period;
b. are Australian residents;
c. nominate an eligible educational institution located in Australia;
d. are not an employee or director of George the Farmer Pty Ltd or Quality Wool Pty Ltd; and
e. are not an immediate family member of an employee or director directly involved in administering or judging the Competition.
For the purpose of these Terms and Conditions, an eligible educational institution includes an Australian:
a. primary school;
b. kindergarten;
c. preschool;
d. early learning centre; or
e. childcare centre,
that provides education or care to children within, or substantially overlapping with, the Wool Discovery Kit’s intended age range of approximately 4–10 years.
5. How to enter
To enter, an eligible Entrant must complete and submit the official online entry form during the Competition Period.
The Entrant must provide all required contact and nominated institution details and answer the following question in 50 words or less:
“Why would your nominated school love to receive a George the Farmer x Quality Wool - Wool Discovery Kit, and how would it use the kit to help children discover the story of Australian wool?”
Incomplete, illegible, late or otherwise invalid entries may be excluded from judging.
6. Entry limits
Each Entrant may nominate the same educational institution only once.
An Entrant may nominate more than one eligible institution, provided a separate genuine entry is submitted for each institution.
More than one person may nominate the same institution.
However, each educational institution may receive a maximum of one Prize.
If more than one highly ranked entry nominates the same institution, only the highest-ranked entry relating to that institution will remain eligible for a Prize. The next highest-ranked eligible entry nominating a different institution will then be considered.
7. Game of skill
This Competition is a game of skill.
Chance plays no part in determining the Winners.
Each valid entry will be individually assessed against the following criteria:
a. originality;
b. creativity;
c. relevance to the Competition question; and
d. the potential for the nominated institution to use the Wool Discovery Kit to engage children in learning about Australian wool.
The fifty (50) highest-ranked eligible entries will be selected as Winners.
8. Tie-breaks
If two or more entries receive an equal assessment, Quality Wool will further judge those entries based on their relevance to the educational purpose of the Wool Discovery Kit and the strength of the proposed classroom or educational use.
No random draw or other element of chance will be used to break a tie.
The Promoters’ decision is final, subject to any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Judging
Judging will take place after the Competition closes.
Eligible entries will be reviewed and judged by representatives of Quality Wool Pty Ltd.
Judging is expected to be completed by approximately Monday, 21 September 2026.
The Promoters may adjust the judging timetable if reasonably necessary.
10. Prizes
There are fifty (50) George the Farmer x Quality Wool - Wool Discovery Kits to be won.
Each Prize is valued at approximately $150 AUD.
The total prize pool is valued at approximately $7,500 AUD.
Each Prize includes:
a. one George the Farmer Shears a Sheep picture storybook;
b. one Wool Journey Sample Pack, including raw wool, scoured and carbonised wool, Merino and crossbred carded wool;
c. one Quality Wool Australian Merino wool scarf;
d. eight Wool Discovery Flash Cards;
e. one printed curriculum-aligned Let’s Learn About Wool resource booklet; and
f. one custom presentation box and accompanying kit materials.
Delivery to the nominated Australian educational institution is included at no additional cost and is not included in the stated approximate retail value of the Prize.
Supporting online video, music and freely downloadable educational resources do not form part of the stated monetary value of the Prize.
11. Prize conditions
Only one Prize will be awarded to each winning nominated institution.
Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
If any component of a Prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoters’ reasonable control, the Promoters may substitute an item of substantially equivalent or greater value, subject to applicable law.
12. Winner notification
The successful Entrants will be contacted using the email address supplied with their entry.
Winners will be asked to confirm the nominated institution and the appropriate delivery address before the Prize is dispatched.
The Promoters may also contact the nominated educational institution directly to confirm acceptance and delivery details.
13. Unclaimed prizes
If a successful Entrant or nominated institution:
a. cannot be contacted;
b. does not respond within five (5) business days of notification;
c. declines the Prize; or
d. is later found to be ineligible,
the Prize may be awarded to the next highest-ranked eligible entry based on the original judging criteria.
No random redraw will occur.
14. Prize delivery
Prizes will be delivered to winning institutions at an Australian delivery address confirmed with the Promoters.
The Promoters will use reasonable efforts to arrange delivery promptly but are not responsible for delays caused by postal, courier or other circumstances outside their reasonable control.
15. Publication of winners
The names of winning educational institutions may be published on the George the Farmer and/or Quality Wool websites, social media channels, eNews communications, media releases and other promotional material relating to the Competition.
The Entrant’s personal contact information will not be publicly published without consent.
16. Photographs, videos and school permissions
Winning institutions may be invited to provide photographs, videos, comments or feedback showing the Wool Discovery Kit being used.
Providing such material is optional and is not a condition of winning a Prize.
Where photographs or videos contain identifiable children, the relevant educational institution is responsible for ensuring that all required school, parent, guardian and/or student permissions have been obtained before providing the material to the Promoters.
The Promoters will seek appropriate permission before using supplied photographs, videos or identifiable student material publicly.
17. Entrant content
By submitting an entry, the Entrant confirms that:
a. the entry is their own original work;
b. it does not infringe another person’s intellectual property or other rights;
c. it does not contain unlawful, defamatory, offensive or inappropriate material; and
d. the Promoters may reproduce the entry for the purposes of administering, judging and promoting the Competition.
The Promoters will not acquire ownership of an Entrant’s underlying intellectual property merely because an entry has been submitted.
18. Disqualification
The Promoters reserve the right to disqualify an Entrant who:
a. does not comply with these Terms and Conditions;
b. provides false or misleading information;
c. tampers with or attempts to interfere with the entry or judging process;
d. submits material considered unlawful, offensive or inappropriate; or
e. otherwise acts in a way that compromises the fairness or integrity of the Competition.
19. Competition interruption
If the Competition cannot be conducted as reasonably anticipated because of circumstances beyond the Promoters’ reasonable control, including technical failure, fraud, unauthorised intervention, natural disaster or other event affecting the security, fairness or proper administration of the Competition, the Promoters may suspend, modify, postpone or cancel the Competition, subject to applicable law.
20. Liability
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.
To the extent permitted by law, the Promoters are not responsible for loss, damage, delay or injury arising from circumstances beyond their reasonable control in connection with entering the Competition or accepting or using a Prize.
21. Privacy
Personal information collected through the Competition will be used by George the Farmer Pty Ltd and Quality Wool Pty Ltd for purposes reasonably connected with:
a. administering the Competition;
b. determining and contacting Winners;
c. verifying nominated institutions;
d. fulfilling and delivering Prizes;
e. responding to Competition-related enquiries; and
f. reporting on or promoting the outcomes of the Competition.
Because Quality Wool is participating in judging, relevant Competition entry information may be shared between George the Farmer and Quality Wool for these purposes.
Personal information will not be added to marketing databases solely because a person enters the Competition.
Any consent to receive marketing communications from George the Farmer and/or Quality Wool will be obtained through a separate, optional opt-out on the Competition entry form.
Personal information will otherwise be handled in accordance with the respective privacy policies of George the Farmer Pty Ltd and Quality Wool Pty Ltd and applicable Australian privacy laws.
Entrants may request access to or correction of their personal information by contacting the relevant Promoter.
22. Digital educational resources
The digital Let’s Learn About Wool educational resource and associated printable classroom materials are available independently of the Competition and may be accessed free through the George the Farmer website.
Winning a physical Wool Discovery Kit is not required to access the freely available digital educational materials.
23. Acceptance of Terms
Submission of an entry constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
